Elijah Jordan Wood (* 28. Januar 1981 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler.

Elijah Wood stammt aus einer Familie mit irischen, englischen, polnischen und deutschen Wurzeln. Seine Eltern sind Warren und Debbie Wood, die seit 1996 geschieden sind. Elijah Wood hat zwei Geschwister, Zachariah und Hannah.

Nachdem Wood in mehreren Werbespots mitgewirkt hatte, bekam er bereits im Alter von acht Jahren eine Rolle in Zurück in die Zukunft II. Weitere Filme, in denen er mitspielte, waren unter anderem Forever Young (1992) mit Mel Gibson, Das zweite Gesicht (orig. The Good Son; 1993) mit Macaulay Culkin, Deep Impact (1998) und The Faculty (1998) mit Josh Hartnett.

Sein größter Erfolg ist die Der Herr der Ringe-Trilogie, in der er den Hobbit Frodo spielt, dotiert mit einem Honorar von drei Millionen US-Dollar.
