Su Maozhen

Su Maozhen (宿茂臻)(born 30 July 1972) is a former Chinese professional football player, who played as a forward.
He played mostly for Shandong Luneng and was their captain. After winning his first international cap against Saudi Arabia on 1 January 1994 he went on to represent the China national football team over fifty times including at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
Early on in his career, he had two brief trial periods with Manchester United in the 1989/90 and 1991/92 seasons, during which made a number of appearances for the Junior A team alongside future stars such as Ryan Giggs, David Beckham and Paul Scholes.
In 2006 he graduated from the University of Salford in the United Kingdom, having completed a Masters degree in Management. He hopes to enter football management in China having completed his studies.
