Slovenia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest eleven times, debuting in 1993 (see ESC1993) and competing in every year since, with the exceptions of 1994 and 2000. Slovenia has never won the contest and has a best ever finish of 7th (in 1995 and 2001). Darja Švajger has represented the country twice, in 1995 (see ESC1995) and 1999 (see ESC1999).
Slovenia has not competed in the final since 2003 due to the introduction of the semi-final stage.
Slovenian broadcasters RTV SLO (Radiotelevizija Slovenija) broadcast the show.
