[edit] Thanks

Thanks for expanding David Milgaard! I went to the article just a few seconds ago to expand it...I actually expanded that article twice, but both edits were lost when I accidentally closed my browser :( That's happened a couple times before (I never learn my lesson). Anyhow, thanks for expanding the article!

I not only thank you on behalf of the world, for making it easier to find out information about this important individual, but on behalf of myself, for not making me re-expand it...again! :-)

Happy editing,

Frazzydee| 04:58, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Uploading photos

Thank you for the direct link. It would seem clear enough, however I'm sure where the file would go so that I could find it when creating the file link on Ms. Edmonds bio page. You offered to load it, but I would like to understand the process myself for the future. Also, I have photos for other bios soon to be created... let me know how you might like to help. (I make no claim as the quality of my photography, but willing to post them until someone better takes a shot) TTLightningRod 23:34, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Thank you. Not this evening, gota run. But I'll do as you say, and see if I can't help out her bio. I have Elisberg and Dzakovic from the same time and place too. TTLightningRod 00:02, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I just uploaded my first image... "TIG welding"... that wasn't so tough. Thank you for the link. I will now go back and add the photos I have for Edmonds. Would you think it appropriate to add an "open letter" she sent out, and place it in her article? I'll at least add it to the discussion page. Take care. TTLightningRod 16:56, 15 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] signature

BTW, thanks for your contributions to Joybubbles. As a USF grad I've heard about that guy often but I don't think I ever knew his name. Gamaliel 19:33, 21 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for your words of thanks. It's great to receive some positives amongst the negatives. Random acts of kindness are still needed here. :) -- Longhair | Talk 09:19, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Shehzad Tanweer

You're welcome. Unfortunately, Muslims, and particularly militants, are thought by some to be fair game on Wikipedia and don't get the same consideration as others, unless those who want to see NPOV win the day fight very hard for it. Grace Note 05:33, 26 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Detainee stories

Thanks. I consider the treatment of the detainees a stain, that will look, in retrospect, at least as unjust as the detention of those of Japanese descent on the West coast. I think you may share my concerns.  :-)

On Friday I discovered some places where the documents from some Combatant Status Review Tribunals were available for download. I started putting up some stubs for them. Four of those stubs were marked for deletion. Frankly it really annoyed me. The justification offered were that Guantanamo detainees weren't notable, and that there were too many detainees for each one to merit an article of their own.

I think at least one of those who voted to delete tipped his hand, and revealed that their real objection was that they just wanted to prune the wikipedia of articles that make the USA look bad.

Would you consider hopping over, taking a look at the discussions, and see if you agree with me that they do merit individual articles?

Thanks for your comment. Anne Frank, good example.
How many Nazis can I name? I came up with this list in under a minute:
Hitler, Goebbels, Himmler, Hess, Adolf Eichman, Werner von Braun, Karl Doenitz, Otto Skorzeny, Joseph Megele, Albert Speer, Heydrich, and the big fat Air Marshal, whose name I am blocking on. But maybe I don't count. I don't call people fascist or nazi when I argue with them. -- Geo Swan 11:20, 27 September 2005 (UTC)
Hermann Goering. I knew I would remember... -- Geo Swan 13:06, 27 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Asrat Woldeyes

Thanks for the compliment: it made my day. I also noticed that you've added quite a few interesting articles about the kind of people who might be found in the "Footnotes in History" section of my copy of The People's Almanac. BTW, when I editted this page, I saw a warning that it was 32 Kb in size; perhaps you might consider archiving your Talk page. -- llywrch 18:14, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Charles Whitman

Said it here, but it definitely bears repeating... Thanks again for all your work on the Charles Whitman article. I'm currently at my three-revert limit, so your recent revert came at the best possible time.

And, no good. In the time I've typed this up, Subwayjack has loosed a personal attack (look at the edit summary). jareha 01:30, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks!

Glad to. Thanks for the nice note, keep doing good work, and try to remain civil even when someone else isn't extending you the same courtesy. People who can't keep their cool usually get disciplined in the end, though I know it's hard sometimes to be nice in the meantime. · Katefan0(scribble)/mrp 04:45, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Glenn Andreotta

Thanks for the note about my work on Thompson and the other heroes. You compiled some great stuff! I wonder if the Army would release a photo of Andreotta, or if some of the online Vet groups might have his military portrait on file? That would be in public domain. If you are really ambitious, you could try a FOIA. Jokestress 08:57, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 9/11 terrorists

Thanks for all your help with the 9/11 terrorist pages! They still have a ways to go, in terms of sourcing things and incorporating timelines, but you doing some great work. – Quadell (talk) (bounties) 15:54, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for being around

I am a Muslim from Pakistan and my many thoughts are different than from many Western people I found here. That is why although I am registered in wikipedia since only a month but they have already called me a terrorist many time. But strangely enough I found you very different than these people. It is impressive to see your thoughts. I do not know you much but I have observed that you try to be fair and want to have more knowledge about things before making judgments. I wish that if you could be a Muslim one day. :) Sorry if you do not like my wish. Wikipedia definitely needs people like you. --- Faisal 10:38, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

Just want to let you know that I did added you in my msn couple of days ago. ---- Faisal 15:49, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for your help, perhaps further action

Thanks for your help in maintaining Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Terry Ratzmann. I've left a message with User:Rx StrangeLove to see if we can get the sockpuppets blocked or have the page semi-protected or some other action. Thanks again for your help!
