[edit] The downfall of the Redmoon Online Global server
In 2003 Redmoon, under the management of Khabal Gaming (now Eden II), came under close scrutiny from the community of the time. A group of people which were knowledgable about server code and so called "hacking", managed to gain access to the server database, and successfully obtained 91% of the server's database. Whether this was done out of anger against the GCs and GMs, or for personal reasons, is unknown. Following this came many perviously unknown facts such as the mis-use of power by the GMs (Game Masters) to gain personal benefits for their own characters. The server was subsiquently shut down under the pretence of maintenance. However, it was never to be brought back online again. JCE (Joy City Entertainment) pulled the plug on Redmoon International as a result of all this controversy. Redmoon Korea, however, remains a popular game to this day. Although, many people today try to revive the game for its good clean fun, but have failed to do so because of their experiences with hacking.
