Pillsbury Doughboy

Poppin' Fresh (Sometimes spelled Pop 'n' Fresh), the Pillsbury Doughboy, is an advertising icon and mascot of The Pillsbury Company, appearing in many of their commercials. He is a small anthropomorphic character apparently made out of dough. When poked in the stomach, he makes a short giggling noise, lightly grabs his stomach, and smiles.

- In Jhonen Vasquez's comic Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, there are two doughboys that resemble Fresh, which are Johnny's voices within, that soon grow apart. They have both been repainted, and are made of styrofoam.
- The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man in the 1984 movie Ghostbusters bears a strong resemblance to the Pillsbury Doughboy.
- In a MADtv parody of Cops, Fresh is shown to be on PCP and wielding a gun. Police finally kill him by sticking him in the oven and baking him.
- In an episode of The Critic, main character Jay Sherman, when tickled, laughs like the Pillsbury Doughboy.
- In an episode of The Simpsons, Mr. Burns, while under the influence of ether, gives a generous sum of money to Homer Simpson due to his apparent resemblance to Poppin' Fresh. Later, when Burns is trying to remember who he gave the money to, the search is narrowed down to Homer and an older man with the name 'Pops Freshenmeyer'.
- In another episode, Homer imagines he meets creatures of food advertisements. One of them is the doughboy.
- In an episode of Family Guy, Lois Griffin is rolling dough on the family's kitchen counter, when the Pillsbury Doughboy makes an appearance speaking his famous lines. Lois completely ignores him and flattens him with the roller, killing him. Then he comes back to get revenge but sadly gets squished and killed again.
- In an episode of Drawn Together, Captain Hero calls Toot "the Pillsbury Doughbroad" and pokes her in the stomach, causing her to giggle like Poppin' Fresh.
- On Tshirthell.com's website there is a popular t-shirt featuring a parody Pillsbury Doughboy as a white supremacist. It features the character giving the Nazi salute with the caption "White Flour!"
