The New Jersey Network or NJN is a state-wide public television and radio network in New Jersey. It is operated by the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority.

NJN is a member of the PBS network for television and the NPR network for radio, broadcasting their programing as well as producing and broadcasting their own programing, mostly relating to issues in New Jersey. With studios in both Trenton and Newark it has stations across the state that it uses to rebroadcast its signal.

NJN's television network covers all of New Jersey, plus parts of Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut and Delaware. The radio network serves several areas of New Jersey that aren't covered by the Philadelphia and New York City public radio stations.

The network was founded in 1968 by an act of the New Jersey state legislature establishing the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority . Although WNET was (and still is) licensed to Newark, for all practical purposes it was a New York station. This left New Jersey without a PBS member station of its own. WNET currently airs some NJN programs, such as NJN News and some public affairs programs. WNJT, channel 52 in Trenton took to the air on April 5, 1971; followed by WNJS, channel 23 in Camden in 1972. A year later, WNJM, channel 50 in Montclair and WNJB, channel 58 in New Brunswick completed the network, which was known as New Jersey Public Television (NJPTV). It adopted the NJN name in 1981 and expanded into radio in 1991. In 1994 WNJM changed its calls to WNJN. As of January 2001, WNJB New Brunswick old narration is removed leaving only WNJT Trenton and WNJS Camden, and replaced with the new narration for WNJB New Brunswick. As of November 2006, NJN Public Television identification appears with four stations on Television. (See box below)

NJN and its reporters have won many awards for their excellent reporting. In the 1980's, NJN was the first media outlet to break the "Taggart Affair" political patronage scandal.
