Luke Brandon Scott (born June 25, 1978 in De Leon Springs, Florida) is a major league baseball left fielder who currently plays for the Houston Astros. Career-wise, he has a batting average of .291. He attended Oklahoma State University-Stillwater. In the summer of 2000, he played for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League where he earned All-Big 12 baseball honors. He also played baseball at Indian River Community College. He spent his first professional season at home recovering from a "Tommy John" operation on his elbow joint.

- Scott is good friends with Astros center fielder Willy Taveras. He and Taveras came up together in the Cleveland Indians organization and were bundled in a trade to the Astros for pitcher Jeriome Robertson.
- Is fluent in Spanish and even taught Taveras how to speak English.
- Has a talent for cooking.
- Keeps a journal where he writes notes to himself regarding pitchers he just faced and that pitcher's tendencies. He'll note what a pitcher tries to get him out with, what he did at the plate, how he was feeling, what he should and shouldn't do. He forms a plan, so he has an idea of what he wants to do against a particular pitcher when he next faces them.
- Recently has drawn criticism for looking slightly ridiculous on an ESPN piece about athletes and firearms. He was acting out pretend scenarios which always ended in him pulling his gun and making a coy remark along the lines of "how do you feel now?" to the fake criminal.
