Please excuse the naivete, but did not Australian State owned railway workshops effectively build their own engines at times? Are we caught up with the issue of where 'company' is a limiting term - because I am sure that in Western Australia the WAGR (Western Australian Government Railways) built engines. Where/how do we list "in-house" construction? I am very interested in how we get around this one.vcxlor 14:59, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
- I don't see why the Australian State Railways shouldn't be included as a locomotive (or other) builder. After all, Wikipedia is full of locos built by British Railways Chevin 17:59, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
- Seems fine to me, but I'm wondering why Siemens aren't included in the list of Locotive manufacturers.
