[edit] As a Wikipedian
Rebecca Chapin joined Wikipedia on October 22, 2005 and in February 2006 started contributing regularly.
[edit] Attitude and persona
While somewhat detached in matters of society, Chapin is a passionate person in matters that are of importance to her. She is philosophical, albeit slightly self-deprecating, a thinker, and while not afraid to express her views, usually keeps them to herself for her own good.
When asked to comment upon a particular belief, Chapin does so hesitantly, mostly because her peers are not receptive to her opinions.
Chapin has a satirical, quick-witted (though often antisocial) comportment and conducts herself somewhat extrovertedly in suitable company, though is more of an introvert in the company of strangers and newcomers. She is often shrewd and calculating, especially in others' characters. She is also noted for her odd sense of humor and appreciation of wordplay.

[edit] Hobbies/interests
Since a young age, Chapin has shown interest in technology, psychology, law, geometry, meteorology, English, mathematics, Israel, and Judaism. Her other interests include:
[edit] Reading and books
Chapin has been an avid reader since a young age, starting off with favorites Dr. Seuss and Roald Dahl. Despite her vivid imagination and interest in fiction, Chapin always had an intense passion for non-fiction, her favorite of which were psychology books, math textbooks, and college-level law books. In her years she has read all of the Harry Potter series as well as some books of The Chronicles of Narnia series. In her adolescent years she has taken to reading numerous books by Carolyn Mackler, Lynne Truss, Lemony Snicket, Neil Gaiman, and Stanley Kiesel, as well as numerous film and play scripts. She is also the owner of two dictionaries and one thesaurus, books she has collected since age 10. Chapin has an insatiable interest in the usage of the English language, and seeks to improve it by becoming an editor.
Chapin has recently become interested in fanfiction, but refuses to comment on whether or not she approves of slashfic. However, Chapin has repeatedly stated that she opposes PWPs.
[edit] Physical pursuits
Chapin has been interested in biking for many years. As a youngster she pursued roller skating and swimming passionately. Due to her family's refusal to her request of joining the local JCC, she does not go swimming regularly, instead swimming whenever she can.
[edit] Multimedia interests
Chapin has been an avid gamer since a young age, starting with the Myst series she played on the PC. Some of her all-time favorites include 9: The Last Resort (PC), Chuzzle (PC), and Bookworm (PC).
Chapin's taste in music has always been Rock and other alternative musics, much of it heard on her parents' records; she has been a hater of most, indeed almost all, Rap music for her entire life. Some all time favorites include Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman, Voltaire, Franz Ferdinand, The Gothic Archies, and Keren Ann, with other 80's, 90's, and current bands featuring prominently amongst her usual listening.
Chapin has recently become enamored with the band The Polyphonic Spree, having heard some of their songs in the online game "The Quest for the Rest".
[edit] Mannerisms and Quirks
Chapin refuses to say that she “suffers” from ADHD and depression, instead claiming that depression is her muse. Indeed, some of her finest works have been written during low points in her life. Some examples include "i am a misty wisp", "block party", "george" and "monologue".
[edit] Personal Life
From June-September 2004, Chapin dated Max Kushinsky. Not much is known about this relationship, save for the fact that both received their first kiss. Chapin had only this to say about the sudden ending of the relationship:
Things just weren't working out. I mean, he lives about 300 miles away from me. Let's face it, long-distance relationships just don't work out in the long run. We didn't have much of a relationship, anyway. We met, we kissed, we broke up. Nothing more.
— Rebecca Chapin
Chapin is currently dating Shaul Prigot. She generally refuses to comment on the physical nature of her relationship, although she has been known to confide in close friends about her personal matters. When pressed to comment on her relationship, Chapin responded:
You know what? It's really none of your business, and you should learn to respect people's privacy. Yes, I'm dating Shaul, and I think that should be enough for you to know. If he wants to tell you about [our] physical relationship, then that's up to him to do. Now go away.

[edit] Publicity
Chapin has appeared in her town's newspaper several times, three of which included being in a front-page photo. She is known by name to the staff of the newspaper. She also appeared in a crowd photo in The Boston Globe. Chapin has also been interviewed on national television at the "Twilight Tattoo" Parade in Washington, DC, an event which she claimed was the result of "being in the right place at the right time." She is known to the listeners of the WERS program "The Playground" as "Rockin' Rebecca", a moniker she acquired in 2000 from being a temporary broadcaster for the program. Chapin plans to work at the radio station when she is in college.
