I've done some work on the state-leader-by-year pages, in a massively sporadic, confused and inconsistent manner that will have wikipedians cursing my name for years to come.

I happen to believe that the Byzantine Empire should be listed once per page, not once per continent - I like this debate, as its oddly reminiscent of the arcane trinitarian debates upon which the empire was founded.
- The Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire wasn't founded on the Trinitarian debates - though I'll wager they were closely followed within it. The Empire continued under the name Βασιλεία Ῥωμαίων , it wasn't founded as such at all. (Now that could be like the Trianitarin Debates: Was there ever a Byzantine Empire?) Well, the first Council of Nicea was considered necessary to establish a consensus for a Christian state - I think if you had to demarcate the establishment of the Byzanintine Empire, then it would be at the moment that the Roman Empire became a dogmatic entity. Well, that and the whole not-being-ruled-from-Rome thing. But thanks for your nice comments, Bo.
Also translated some of the German entries on the Fatimid Caliphs into English, badly, and frankly I'm shocked that my stilted grammar has stood unchanged for almost a year now. Anyone would think that 10th century Egypt was somehow not a hot topic.

Other than that, I currently look for obscure corners of Jazz Theory and other musical subjects that need filling in. My favourite article that I started is the one on Abby Whiteside, but I also like So What chord.
