Kerala porotta

Kerala Porotta (or Porotta, (Malayalam:പൊറോട്ട)) is a south Indian flatbread made with fine wheat flour. These are prepared with by a technique which involves waving and puffing the dough in order to form the layers. It is named after the south Indian state of Kerala, where it is a common menu item. It is usually served with a curry dish. In Kerala it is pronounced 'Porotta' which is a derivative of the term 'Paratha' that originates from North India.
