Sept à la maison (7th Heaven) est une série télévisée américaine, créée par Brenda Hampton et diffusée depuis le 26 août 1996 sur le réseau WB. En France, la série est diffusée depuis le 26 décembre 1999 sur TF1 .

[modifier] Synopsis

Produite par Aaron Spelling et E. Duke Vincent (Beverly Hills 90210), cette série met en scène le pasteur Eric Camden et son épouse Annie qui élèvent leurs cinq enfants dans la petite ville de Glenoak.

Matt, Mary, Lucy, Simon et Ruthie (Rosie en français) sont respectivement âgés de 17, 14, 12, 10 et 5 ans au début de la série. Viendront ensuite deux jumeaux, Samuel « Sam » et David.

Au cours des épisodes, les expériences de la vie sont prétextes à leçons de morale avec une référence forte faite à la religion. Néanmoins les personnages sont attachants et évoluent au fil de la série.

• M6 a acheté la série sous le titre Une famille à toute épreuve mais ne l'a jamais diffusé.

• À noter que Jessica Biel a posé nue afin de changer son image de fille policée et d'être ainsi exclue de la série. Mais les producteurs n'ont pas cédé et ont conservé l'actrice au sein de la famille.
