Prof. Dr. Stefan Rahmstorf (* 22. Februar 1960) ist ein deutscher Klimaforscher und arbeitet am Potsdam-Institut für Klimafolgenforschung (PIK).

Der seit 1990 promovierte Ozeanograph ist seit 1996 in Potsdam tätig und forscht dort vor allem zu Wechselwirkungen zwischen Ozeanen und der globalen Erwärmung sowie natürlicher Klimaveränderungen. Im Jahr 2000 übernahm er die Professur für das Fach Physik der Ozeane. Er ist Mitglied im Wissenschaftlichen Beirat der Bundesregierung Globale Umweltveränderungen (WBGU).
