Classix Nouveaux

Classix Nouveaux were a New Wave band, often associated with New Romantic, formed by Sal Solo (formerly with power pop band The News) and Mik Sweeney, as well as former members of the punk band X-Ray Spex; BP Hurding and Jak Airport.

They are mainly known in the USA for their UK hit single "Guilty", the video of which was frequently shown on MTV during the early 1980s, and in the UK for their Top 20 UK hit single "Is It A Dream" though they had bigger hits in other countries like Portugal (with "Never Again") and Poland (with "Never Never Comes"). They also released three studio albums with EMI between 1980 and 1983 before breaking up. All those albums have now been reissued on CD by Cherry Red Records in the UK.
