Carolina Forest Middle School

Carolina Forest Middle School was located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in the neighborhood of Carolina Forest. The school began its operations in 1997 and continues to grow. Horry County Schools addressed the overgrowth problem in 2004, and as a result, two new schools will be formed, replacing Carolina Forest Middle School by August 2007. They are Ocean Bay Middle School, serving primarily the Carolina Forest neighborhood, and Black Water Middle School, serving eastern Conway.
[edit] Stabbing
On Thursday, May 18, 2006, a high-schooler that attended Carolina Forest High School was stabbed on the Carolina Forest Middle School/High School campus during normal drop-off time. Officials caught the murder suspect and are currently questioning him. No other students were harmed in the incident.
