[edit] 2005

In his 2005 season with the Dublin Senior Football team he won the Leinster Senior Football Championship with a win over Laois in the final. He scored a total of three point in the final and finished the All Ireland Championship and Leinster Championship with a total of eight points compared to the two points which he scored in the 2005 National Football League.

[edit] 2006

He was the captain for Dublin City University when they won the Sigerson Cup for the first time ever in 2006.[2]

Bryan Cullen was cited after the controversial 2006 national league clash between Dublin and Tyrone. A game which resulted in disciplinary action against 9 players involved in the game. Cullen was suspended for four weeks in accordance with Rule 140 and 138 a rule which deals with physical contact. Ciaran Whelan, Alan Brogan, Kevin Bonner and Bryan Cullen were all exonerated from all charges along with the Tyrone trio of Kevin Hughes, Michael McGee and Owen Mulligan. The official reason given for the exhoneration was stated as 'a technicality'

Cullen scored a total of seven points in the 2006 National Football League. Owing to the Collie Morans prolonged injury Cullen captained the Dublin Senior football team to victory against Laois in the Leinster Senior football Semi-Final. He captained Dublin for most of the 2006 Leinster final, although Dublin captain Collie Moran made his long awaited return to Dublins first team in time to deliver the winning speech in Croke Park. Dublins two captains stood shoulder to shoulder holding the Delaney Cup after an easy win over Offaly in the Leinster football final in July 2006. He continued to captain the Dublin side against Westmeath in the All-Ireland quarter final and Mayo in the All-Ireland Semi-Final despite Collie Morans return to fitness. Bryan has been nominated for a 2006 all-star at Half Back. Bryan was named as Half Back on the GPA Gaelic Team of the Year for 2006.
