Blackjack (Atari 2600)

Blackjack was a video game cartridge developed by Atari for its Video Computer System (later known as the Atari 2600). The game was one of the nine launch titles available when the Atari 2600 went on sale in October of 1977.
The game was a video simulation of blackjack. The objective was identical to the card game: Obtain a score of 21 (or as close as possible) without going over to win a bet. One to three players played the computer dealer in the game.
Most of the standard blackjack rules were featured in the Atari VCS version of Blackjack. The player used the paddle controller to enter his/her bet (up to 25 from an initial pot of 200 chips). He/she then was presented with an up card, and decided whether to either "hit" (accept another card) or stand. A player "broke the bank" if he/she obtained a score of 1,000 chips, and "busted" upon losing everything.
