B.C.'s Quest For Tires is a 1983 computer game developed by Sydney Development Corp. and published by Sierra On-Line. It was released for the Commodore 64, Atari 8-bit, Colecovision, ZX Spectrum, MSX, and Apple II, based on the famous comic strip B.C. by Johnny Hart. The name of the game was a play on the title of a popular contemporary film, Quest for Fire.
The game is an action game taking place on several consecutive levels. The player takes the role of the caveman B.C., who has to rescue his girlfriend, the Cute Chick, who has been kidnapped by a dinosaur. To do this, he must travel on his stone unicycle through several levels. Each level involves B.C. moving from the left to the right, avoiding various dangers.
The levels start out simple, with B.C. having to jump over potholes or duck under tree branches. Later levels become more complex, for example B.C. having to jump over turtles in a lake or be carried over a swamp by a bird. Other B.C. characters, such as the Fat Broad, also appear on some levels.
A sequel, Grog's Revenge, was released in 1984.
