Alex Hawke

Alex Hawke is a former President of the Young Liberals Movement of Australia, having been elected in January 2005. Previously he the President of the NSW Young Liberal Division, and currently a staffer for David Clarke. He has stated that he believes the Liberal Party of Australia to be the home of the right, and he states that "Nobody joins the Liberal Party to be left-wing." [1]
Hawke has been the centre of controversy, with former NSW Opposition Leader John Brogden blaming him for contributing to his downfall. A claim that Hawke denies. [2]
One of Hawke's earliest forays in to politics was during his time as a student at Cumberland High School a school in suburban Western Sydney where he had some success in student elections [3]
