Alan Oppenheimer

Alan Oppenheimer (born April 23, 1930 in New York City, New York) is an American voice actor who has had an active career in cartoons since the 1940s. He is recognised as the voice of many characters including Mighty Mouse, Ming the Merciless from Filmation's Flash Gordon, Falkor from 1984's The NeverEnding Story and also Skeletor and Man-at-arms, also from Filmation's 1980s cartoon He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (he also performed various supporting roles as well). He also took over the voice of Roger Smith's butler Norman Burg in the second season of The Big-O. Oppenheimer also worked on Transformers most notably two contrasting characters, the pacifist Beachcomber and the bellicose Warpath. Up until 2004 (when the character was given a face) he was the voice of Alistair Crane on the soap opera Passions.

As a Character actor, Oppenheimer has had diverse roles in popular American television programming, from playing a Nazi in Hogan's Heroes to the original Dr. Rudy Wells in The Six Million Dollar Man television series. He also had a recurring role on the 1980s medical drama St. Elsewhere, as Helen Rosenthal's husband Ira.

He has also appeared in three of the more recent Star Trek series, always playing a different character. He portrayed a Klingon cleric of Boreth behind the cloning of Kahless in the The Next Generation episode Rightful Heir , on Deep Space Nine as a Captain named Keogh in command of the USS Odyssey, he and his crew were killed in a suicidal attack by the Jem Hadar, and an alien ambassador in Voyager.
