Action Action

Action Action is an indie rock band from Long Island, New York who combine a New Wave aesthetic with a swirling guitar-driven sound reminiscent of The Bolshoi, Bauhaus, and other proto-goth bands prominent in the late 1970s and early '80s.

In the studio while recording their debut, Don't Cut Your Fabric to This Year's Fashion, they employed synths to flesh out their sound and help set themselves apart from the typical rock-based indie act who normally do not experiment beyond basic rock instrumentation.
The band's second album, An Army of Shapes Between Wars, was released on January 24, 2006. The album makes more use of synthesizers and string sections.
